This draft never leaves your device until you submit the form.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Essential cookies:<\/strong> a minimal WordPress session cookie if you log in (most visitors don&#8217;t). Who we share your data with<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We share the minimum data needed with carefully chosen partners. Each is bound by a written data-processing agreement and operates under UK or EU data protection law.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Installers (up to 4 per enquiry)<\/h3>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you submit a quote form, we share your first name, last name, email, phone number, postcode, address, property type, and project details with up to four FENSA or Certass-registered installers who operate in your postcode. Each installer becomes an independent data controller the moment they receive your details and handles your data under their own privacy policy. If you&#8217;d like any installer&#8217;s privacy policy before speaking to them, email us \u2014 we&#8217;ll send it.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lead-matching partner \u2014 Leads 2 Trade<\/h3>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leads 2 Trade Ltd (company no. 05987351, registered in England and Wales) operates a vetted UK installer network we use to distribute quote requests. Their privacy policy is at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leads2trade.co.uk\/privacy-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">leads2trade.co.uk\/privacy-policy<\/a>. We may also use secondary networks (LeadsDoWork, Bark, or similar) for overflow capacity \u2014 if used, they operate under equivalent UK GDPR-compliant terms.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Service providers (processors, not controllers)<\/h3>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Hetzner Online GmbH<\/strong> (Germany) \u2014 hosts our website and database. Hetzner is GDPR-compliant and certified under ISO 27001.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cloudflare, Inc.<\/strong> (US\/UK) \u2014 DNS, DDoS protection, and Turnstile anti-bot (when enabled). Cloudflare operates under UK-approved Standard Contractual Clauses.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Email delivery<\/strong> \u2014 transactional confirmation emails sent via our server; we do not currently use Mailchimp, SendGrid, or similar third-party email services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Legal sharing:<\/strong> we may disclose your data to police, regulators, or courts if required by UK law (for example, an ICO investigation or a valid court order).<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What we never do:<\/strong> we do not sell your details to general marketing databases, solar cold-callers, insurance resellers, energy switching brands, or any business unrelated to your quote request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. International data transfers<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most of your data stays in the UK. Some processors (Hetzner in Germany, Cloudflare in the US) may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, transfers are protected by the UK&#8217;s adequacy decision for the EEA, or by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) \/ Standard Contractual Clauses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. We&#8217;ll only refuse if we have a legal obligation to keep specific data (e.g. proof of consent during an ICO investigation).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. How we keep your data safe<\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>TLS encryption<\/strong> on every page and form submission (the padlock in your browser bar).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cloudflare<\/strong> protects the site against DDoS and injection attacks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Restricted access<\/strong> \u2014 only the Findfitter founder can access the submissions database.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cloudflare Turnstile<\/strong> (bot-protection challenge, when enabled) verifies you&#8217;re a real person without tracking you.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Spam filters<\/strong> block disposable email addresses, obviously fake names, and placeholder phone numbers before they reach installers.<\/li>\n<li>We <strong>do not<\/strong> store payment data, because we never take payment from homeowners \u2014 all transactions happen directly with your chosen installer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If we ever suffer a data breach likely to risk your rights, we&#8217;ll notify the ICO within 72 hours and contact affected users by email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. Your rights<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under UK GDPR you have the following rights. To exercise any of them, email <a href=\"mailto:privacy@findfitter.co.uk\">privacy@findfitter.co.uk<\/a> \u2014 we&#8217;ll respond within 30 days, free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Right to be informed<\/strong> \u2014 this policy covers it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Right of access<\/strong> \u2014 request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Right to rectification<\/strong> \u2014 ask us to correct inaccurate data.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Right to erasure (&#8220;right to be forgotten&#8221;)<\/strong> \u2014 ask us to delete your data.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Right to restrict processing<\/strong> \u2014 ask us to pause processing while we resolve a query.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Right to data portability<\/strong> \u2014 get a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Right to object<\/strong> \u2014 object to processing based on legitimate interest.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rights relating to automated decision-making<\/strong> \u2014 not applicable here (we don&#8217;t use automated decisions that affect you).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Right to complain:<\/strong> you can complain to the Information Commissioner&#8217;s Office at <a href=\"https:\/\/ico.org.uk\/make-a-complaint\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ico.org.uk\/make-a-complaint<\/a>, call 0303 123 1113, or write to Information Commissioner&#8217;s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF. We&#8217;d appreciate a chance to put things right first, but you&#8217;re not obliged to contact us before the ICO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9. Installer calls, marketing, and TPS<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you submit the quote form, you give specific consent for up to 4 installers to contact you about the job you requested. This consent overrides a standing Telephone Preference Service (TPS) or Mailing Preference Service (MPS) registration for the purpose of that enquiry \u2014 because you&#8217;ve actively asked for the calls.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To stop installer contact:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tell the installer directly \u2014 they&#8217;re legally required to stop contacting you about anything else.<\/li>\n<li>Email <a href=\"mailto:privacy@findfitter.co.uk\">privacy@findfitter.co.uk<\/a> and we&#8217;ll relay a stop request to all matched installers within 24 hours.<\/li>\n<li>Register or renew with the <strong>Telephone Preference Service<\/strong> at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tpsonline.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tpsonline.org.uk<\/a> (free) for protection against unrelated unsolicited marketing calls.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Findfitter itself does <strong>not<\/strong> send marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional SMS. Any email from us will only be about a quote request you&#8217;ve made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">10. Cookies and tracking<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We keep cookies to an absolute minimum. See our full <a href=\"\/glazing\/index.php\/cookies\/\">Cookie policy<\/a> for details. In short:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Strictly necessary cookies<\/strong> (WordPress session, Cloudflare security) \u2014 used; no consent needed under PECR.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Analytics cookies<\/strong> \u2014 not in use.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Advertising cookies<\/strong> \u2014 not in use. We do not retarget visitors on Facebook, Google, or anywhere else.<\/li>\n<li><strong>localStorage<\/strong> \u2014 used only for your incomplete form draft on your device; never sent to us.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">11. Children<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Findfitter is a service for UK homeowners. It&#8217;s not intended for people under 18 and we don&#8217;t knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has submitted data, email us and we&#8217;ll delete it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">12. Automated decision-making and profiling<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We use simple pattern checks to block obvious spam and bots (e.g. sequential phone numbers, disposable email domains, UK postcode validation). These checks affect only whether a form submission reaches a human \u2014 they don&#8217;t produce any legal effect or significant impact on you, and they&#8217;re reviewable on request.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We do not use your data for credit scoring, pricing decisions, or any automated profiling about you as a person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">13. Links to other websites<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our site links to FENSA, Certass, Energy Saving Trust, Which?, GOV.UK, and various local councils and installer websites. Each is a separate organisation with its own privacy policy. We have no control over how third-party sites handle your data \u2014 always check their policy before submitting anything on them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">14. Changes to this policy<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;ll update this page whenever our practices change.
